“ Nice little French restaurant outside of the Cook Street village area. Ordered the NY strip loin and it was cook perfectly. Frites were fresh fried and well seasoned. Finished my meal with apple tart and ice cream. The salad bar was nice. The truffle oil was a nice addition and add some good flavours and aroma to your salad. Sorry forgot to take a pic. ”

“ This was quite the experience last evening, Monday, I was lucky to be the only guest in the restaurant and George, the owner and the chef, was an extraordinary host. He cooked for me the lamb chops, were extremely good and I've enjoyed our conversation. A very very pleasant dinner, I'll definitely recommend and I'll definitely come back if I'll be in the area. ”

“ All the ingredients were fresh and cooked to absolute perfection. Really good flavours with every dish. We had a couple appetizers, main and dessert. We had the lamb cooked two ways and both were delicious. The flan for dessert was beautifully light and flavourful with the raspberry. LOVED the macarons that were brought out. One of the best macarons I have ever have - seemed like they were made fresh. ”

“ What an exceptional restaurant and dining experience. My family went to this restaurant when we were visiting Victoria. The owner was so friendly and charming. He wanted to set the menu for us, where he presented us with an array of delicious dishes from appetizers, main courses to desserts. The food was fantastic and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had. This is some of the best french food. The terrine, steak, duck, fresh baked bread, beet salad, chicken with lobster and in house smoked salmon was amazing. This is a great restaurant and I would definitely go back. Do not miss this one! ”

“ 4 good foodie friends enjoyed a delicious meal. Warm and welcoming, Flawless service, and generous lamb platters for 2 to share were done To perfection. (We wanted a little morsel more of the spicy nut sauce, but no complaints here whatsoever)! Accompanying pomme frites were ample, crisp, plenty to go around! A fresh selection of raw crudites at the salad bar with delicious in-house freshly prepared dressings to choose from (as one would expect). We were delightfully fed. Had to bring home that which we could not finish! Sincerely the portions could feed 8! No room for dessert! But theres always, breakfast/brunch at the joie cafe down the street. We are aiming to pile in for Basque Crepes today!!! Review to follow! ”

“ We really enjoyed a quiet dinner at this restaurant. The server was friendly and offered good conversation, appetizers and mains were full of flavour (get the mushroom appy!), but desserts left something to be desired. We will return for the amazing steak! ”

“ A high end place tucked away in an easy to access part of Victoria. We were visiting from Seattle and checked out the reviews for restaurants in the area and this one had the highest I had found. I saw lamb on the menu and wanted to try it. It did not disappoint. From the classy atmosphere of dark painted walls with a touch of Asian flare we were greeted by our hostess and waitress who provided top notch service. We partook of the salad bar as well which was nicely presented with many very healthy choices. The food was quality, the presentation fabulous and the flavor spectacular. We had the salad bar, table bread, lamb platter, scallops, creme brulee and apple tarte. All were excellent in every way. I highly recommend this hidden gem. When we are back in Victoria we will be sure to visit this place again. ”
